Kate Goldsworthy

Kate began working with Worn Again in June 2011 with over 10 years experience as a textile designer and consultant, specialising in the area of new finishing technologies, materials R & D and design for recycling. Her passion lies with tools for sustainability in the textile world, particularly the recycling and reuse of polyesters.

She is currently completing a practice based PhD with the Textiles Environment Design research cluster based at Chelsea College of Art & Design. The project aims to rethink the way we manufacture and remanufacture textile products with a focus on ‘industrial ecology’ and 'life-cycle design', enabling continuous cycles of future recycling.

Kate is also a senior lecturer on the Textile Futures masters course and a member of the Textile Futures Research Centre, both based at Central St Martins College of Art & Design.
